Sam Claflin cast as Finnick Odair?

sam claflin catching fire finnick odair 300x205 Sam Claflin cast as Finnick Odair?Variety is reporting that Sam Claflin has been offered the role of Finnick in Catching Fire. He recently played William in Snow White & the Huntsman.

Also rumored: three-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub from Monk is Lionsgate’s first pick to play Beetee.

These casting rumors have not been officially confirmed by the studio.

    I really hope not…There were alot of rumors going around of people I think would be much better…He just doesn’t scream FINNICK to me…of course i know they can fix him up and with the magic of the movies he might be perfect…time will tell

    On the other note…totally loving the idea of Tony as Beetee…Monk was one of my favorite shows and I think he would be great !!!

    He’s a good looking guy but I don’t think his teeth are perfect enough….I mean Finnick is PERFECT.  Tony Shaloub would be great.

    Sounds like it is official now. Many website are now confirming that Sam is our Finnick.
    I’m glad that Sam is breaking through he deserves it.

    I can see him as Finnick, but I think Tony would make the most awesome Beetee and Amanda Plummer as Wiress is a great choice

    I think Sam was a good choice, once they blonde up his hair and get him good and tanned, he will do just fine :) He’s gonna be almost exactly how I imagined him in the books!!

    So I’m not going to lie… At first I was really excited, but now I’m disappointed with Sam being cast. I’m  not sure how I feel now.

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.  I always pictured a very specific look while reading the books and he may very well be the exact opposite of what I hoped he would be like.  I adore him as a breakout idea, but I truly would like to see someone else.

    I’m very disappointed as I had Ian Somerhalder in my head for Finnick, but I’ll obviously be open-minded to Sam, and hope he doeses well in the role. I wish him all the best. :-)

    Wow…he really doesn’t look the part. Maybe with a lot of working out and if he grew out his hair and dyed it bronze and if he had some makeup. But that being said, his acting better be superb to make up for his not looking the part.

    Why fix him up when Chris Hemsworth screams finnick without needing work. Me and my sisters all pictured him when reading the books.
