Josh Hutcherson Poses for NOH8 Campaign
An already outspoken advocate of LGBT rights, our Hunger Games leading man recently posed in a photo shoot for NOH8 with the co-founders of Straight But Not Narrow, Avan Jogia, Heather Wilk and Andre Pochona. Straight But Not Narrow is a campaign they created that mostly targets straight males to positively influence their views on LGBT teens.
…[the campaign] hits close to home for me. I have a lot of gay friends in Los Angeles. My roommate’s gay and I lost two uncles when I was young to AIDS, so it’s an important cause in my family,” Hutcherson says.
Hutcherson was honored by GLAAD last year with the Vanguard Award for his work with the LGBT community. He was the youngest person ever to receive the commendation, at only 19 years old.

‘Catching Fire’ Bromance Revealed
Well, Mockingjays, it looks like our franchise has its own little bromance brewing. At an LA screening of “Silver Linings Playbook,” the folks at MTV News asked Jennifer Lawrence why she likes Sam Claflin and why he fits the role of Finnick Odair. She replied that she was not the person to ask. You’ll never guess who was.
“Josh Hutcherson,” she said. “They are in love.”
Alrighty then.
Finn and Peeta may not have been romancing it up in “Catching Fire” (unless you count the scene where Finnick revives Peeta…and I don’t), but it would appear they have been hitting it off when they aren’t on camera.
“It’s a full-blown bromance and it’s really bromantic and adorable,” Jennifer went on. “It’s really cute. It’s annoying, but it’s cute.”
As for the trident-wielder’s acting skills, Jennifer said, “He’s really sweet, a great, wonderful actor. He’s got a great American accent.”

Josh Hutcherson Promises Buffer Peeta for ‘Catching Fire’
Get ready to hear movie theaters full of girls swooning. Josh Hutcherson vows to bring an even buffer looking Peeta to the big screen for Catching Fire.
I’m getting in even better shape this time around,” Hutcherson recently told USA TODAY. ”After the games, Peeta would have been taking care of himself physically. And he’s gone back to the village and is able to eat healthy. So I’ve been training and getting ready for that.”
He also recently said that the cast will be wearing the skin-tight neoprene bodysuits (as described in the book) for most of the movie, and that a person wants to be in shape for that. So there’s that…
Josh Hutcherson Has Begun Training for ‘Catching Fire’
Our favorite baker’s son recently had speaks with Ryan Seacrest about playing basketball, possibly attending Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus’ wedding, and most importantly, preparing for his role in the “Hunger Games” Movie sequel.
“I’ve been training for about the last month or so now and I head out in about two weeks to go down to Atlanta to start shooting,” said Josh. “It’s not quite intense as the first round that I did last year, but it’s just basically getting in good shape. We’re pretty much wearing these body suits the entire time, so one would like be in good shape to wear a spandex neoprene body suit for an entire movie.”
Looks like production will be in full swing soon! I should also note that Josh Hutcherson was recently seen with blonde hair.

Josh Hutcherson in ‘Red Dawn’ Movie Still
Teaming up with the brother of his Hunger Games co-star Liam, Josh Hutcherson is set to star alongside Chris Hemsworth (as well as Josh Peck) in the remake of the classic 1984 action flick Red Dawn. The film is about a group of guerrilla soldiers that look to save their town from foreign paratroopers. As E! News puts it, “it’s like putting Peeta Mellark and Thor together to save the United States—and that’s a pretty good pair”.
