Patrick St. Esprit Contender to Play Romulus Thread

“Sons of Anarchy” star Patrick St. Esprit is reported as being considered for the role of Romulus Thread in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” St. Esprit has been seen in movies “United 93,” “We Were Soldiers,” “Green Zone,” and “Super 8.” He also briefly appeared in TV shows like “Rizzoli & Isles” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

As you may recall, in “Catching Fire,” the Capitol grew tired of the ineffectual authority of Cray, the Head Peacekeeper in District 12, and replaced him with Romulus Thread, who ruled with a firmer hand and was responsible for Gale’s whipping.

Once again, Lionsgate has not commented on this rumor, so don’t start spreading the news just yet. But what do you think about this possible casting? I’ve seen Patrick St. Esprit in several films and he can definitely pull off a character with militaristic type power. I think the cruelty and callousness of Thread won’t be too much of a stretch for this actor.
