Josh Hutcherson Poses for NOH8 Campaign
An already outspoken advocate of LGBT rights, our Hunger Games leading man recently posed in a photo shoot for NOH8 with the co-founders of Straight But Not Narrow, Avan Jogia, Heather Wilk and Andre Pochona. Straight But Not Narrow is a campaign they created that mostly targets straight males to positively influence their views on LGBT teens.
…[the campaign] hits close to home for me. I have a lot of gay friends in Los Angeles. My roommate’s gay and I lost two uncles when I was young to AIDS, so it’s an important cause in my family,” Hutcherson says.
Hutcherson was honored by GLAAD last year with the Vanguard Award for his work with the LGBT community. He was the youngest person ever to receive the commendation, at only 19 years old.
Revamped Capitol Couture? – Updated
Today on The Capitol PN Facebook page the following post showed up, along with a link back to CapitolCouture.pn “Chins up. Smiles on. Fashion-forward citizens of Panem, are you prepared to spring into the Capitol?”. When you click on the link the once open site dedicated to all things fashionable in the Capitol is now locked and requiring a password. Pretty mysterious if you ask me.
What surprises do you think they have in store for us this year? I’m guessing it might be focused on the outfits that Katniss and Peeta wear on the Victory Tour, and opening in spring based on the message.
UPDATE:If you trace the pattern that the moving line is making on the home page it will bring you to the following screen that has another teaser of an empty chair on it. (Note: I personally couldn’t get the pattern tracing to work in Firefox, but it did work in Safari) You also have the chance to subscribe if you haven’t already.
The page also has links to a new Capitol Couture Instagram page and the Facebook page, which now has the chair picture and the following message “Always Elegant. Always Prompt. Join us on March 4. #LadiesFirst”. So who’s excited for March 4th? Thanks to reader BlueMoon for pointing this out in the comments!
