Today, the Hunger Games’ official Instagram released a brand-spanking-new poster from the “Catching Fire” Movie. The caption reads, “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.”

Jennifer Lawrence gets a new ‘do

Just before stepping onto the red carpet for the 2013 GLAAD Awards on Saturday, Jennifer Lawrence decided to change things up. She called celebrity hair stylist Mark Townsend and told him she was ready to try something different.

Jennifer showed up an hour before call time and as she opened the door she was like, ‘Mark, I want to cut it all off,” Townsend told Harper’sBazaar.com. “I was like, ‘What? Are we allowed to do that?’ And she said, ‘Of course, it’s my hair!’ As I cut, I lost track of how many times she said, ‘I love it!’ She was super excited. It’s the shortest her hair has been in her whole life.”

I’m sure you’ve all now watched the brilliant first trailer for the eagerly-awaited Catching Fire film, but have you decided which scenes left you the most excited?

Website Digital Spy has collected its own thoughts on the trailer by making a list of its top 10 moments.

These include President Snow and Plutarch Heavensbee watching Katniss and Peeta beginning their tour, the graffiti stating “the odds are never in our favour”, Katniss and Gale kissing and a rebel holding a mockingjay banner.

But what do you think? Did the trailer meet your expectations? Are there any scenes missing which you had hoped to see in it?

Catching Fire star Alan Ritchson reveals how Sam Claflin broke his hand on set

Film sets can be a dangerous place, especially if actors insist upon doing their own stunts, and Catching Fire star Sam Claflin discovered this for himself when he broke his hand during filming.

His co-star Alan Ritchson, who plays Gloss in the film, revealed all when he was interviewed at the MTV Movie Awards.

He said:

It was in rehearsal so we weren’t even shooting. He broke it on the stunt guy, warming up. I was standing right next to him. It was tough to watch.

Ritchson, who is set to star in Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles reboot, said Claflin “took it like a champ – he took it and kept moving.”

Let’s hope there were no other injuries and the main action is saved for the film.

Josh Hutcherson Poses for NOH8 Campaign

An already outspoken advocate of LGBT rights, our Hunger Games leading man recently posed in a photo shoot for NOH8 with the co-founders of Straight But Not Narrow, Avan Jogia, Heather Wilk and Andre Pochona. Straight But Not Narrow is a campaign they created that mostly targets straight males to positively influence their views on LGBT teens.

…[the campaign] hits close to home for me. I have a lot of gay friends in Los Angeles. My roommate’s gay and I lost two uncles when I was young to AIDS, so it’s an important cause in my family,” Hutcherson says.

Hutcherson was honored by GLAAD last year with the Vanguard Award for his work with the LGBT community. He was the youngest person ever to receive the commendation, at only 19 years old.

That’s right! The Catching Fire trailer will be premiering live on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, during the MTV Movie Awards. Liam Hemsworth will have the honor of introducing the never seen before official trailer. What could be better than that? Well how about this 10 second teaser video of the trailer? Hopefully this will hold you over until April 14th! (Unfortunately the trailer above does not air outside of the United States.)
